Your library
Everything you save lands in Documents in the app. Each entry keeps the page's title, description, source URL, and the date it was captured, along with any collection and tags you've added.
Opening a document
Click a document to open it. The document page shows its details and gives you the archived copy of the original page — the text and layout as they appeared when you saved it, not a live link.
The archived snapshot
Open the archive to read the saved copy of a page. It opens with a Permanent Record banner so you always know you're looking at an archived version rather than the live site. Web pages are saved as HTML; PDFs are saved as the original file.
Processing states
After you save a document, Permanent Record processes it — this is what powers search and Ask AI. A document's processing run is in one of three states:
- In progress — the document is still being processed.
- Completed — processing finished and the document is fully searchable.
- Failed — something went wrong. Failed processing is repaired automatically, and that repair doesn't cost any credits.
Editing details
You can update a document's title, description, source URL, the collection it belongs to, and its tags. Open the document and use its edit form to make changes.
Deleting and restoring
Deleting a document removes it from your library, but it isn't erased — it's moved to a deleted state and can be restored. There's no automatic time-based purge of an individual deleted document while your account is active. For a full account export or permanent deletion, see your data.
